"Collaborative Translation of Buddhist Scriptures in China from the 2nd to the 4th Centuries: A Historical Perspective based on Buddhist Biographies and Catalogs"
Tianran Wang received her first M.A. in Japanese Interpreting and Translation from Beijing Foreign Studies University and her second M.A. in Translation Studies from Durham University. She recently earned her Dr.Des. title, and her PhD dissertation investigates the collaborative translation mode in Buddhist scriptural translation forums in China, combining Translation Studies with an in-depth analysis of historical materials such as Chu Sanzang Jiji 出三藏記集 [A Compilation of Notes on the Translation of the Tripiṭaka] and Gaoseng Zhuan 高僧傳 [Biographies of Eminent Monks].
