Yifan Li received her MA in Religion and Philosophy in Asia from LMU in 2021 with a thesis focusing on representations of Hell in literary and religious sources from Tang to Ming Dynasty. Her current research focuses on the transformation of the God of the Underworld in ancient Indian and ancient Chinese sources.
